01 — About Baptist Top 1000
Not just a list. A living testimony of faith.
BaptistTop1000.com began in 2004 as a small youth-group spreadsheet in Texas. Today it is the largest independent celebration of Baptist life — ranking 1000 churches by spiritual vitality, outreach, worship, discipleship and community impact, not just size.
We visit churches, interview pastors, listen to choirs, count baptisms and volunteer hours, and share thousands of stories of grace. From tiny country chapels with 20 members to megachurches with 20,000 — every faithful congregation matters.

03 — What We Believe
Seven Pillars of Baptist Faith
Autonomous churches, one Lord. These timeless convictions unite all 1000 congregations in our family.
📖
1. Authority of Scripture
The Bible is our sole infallible guide — preached verse by verse, lived day by day, from Genesis to Revelation.
💧
2. Believer's Baptism
Immersion upon personal profession of faith — a joyful public testimony of death to sin and new life in Christ.
🕊️
3. Soul Liberty
Every believer is competent before God. No coercion — only conviction, conscience and grace.
⛪
4. Autonomous Church
Each local congregation is self-governed under Christ, yet lovingly cooperates for missions and mercy.
🎶
5. Worship in Spirit & Truth
From pipe organ hymns to gospel choirs — heartfelt congregational singing that lifts the soul.
🤝
6. Priesthood of Believers
Every member a minister: teaching Sunday school, visiting prisons, feeding the hungry, praying without ceasing.
